The “Friedrich List” Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences is Germany’s largest academic center of expertise in the field of transport studies. With more than 60 years of tradition in research and teaching in Dresden, the faculty is dedicated to the sustainable development of all transport and infrastructure systems in order to meet the evolving mobility needs of society.

In both research and education, the faculty addresses key topics such as rail, road, and air transport systems, transport economics and data science, as well as mobility and traffic flow from a systemic perspective. The interdisciplinary collaboration between engineering, natural, economic, and social sciences enables a holistic understanding of mobility in its social, economic, and ecological dimensions.
